Bad Wolves is composed of drummer John Boecklin (ex-Devildriver), vocalist Tommy Vext (Divine Heresy, Snot) as well as guitarists Doc Coyle (ex-God Forbid), Chris Cain (Bury Your Dead) and bassist Kyle Konkiel (ex-In This Moment). While the members of the band all come from very established and relatively well-known groups, starting a new band means you start at the beginning again and they have been slowly taking over.
Thoughts of the band began in 2015 and then in May 2018 they released their debut album Disobey with singles “Zombie” (The Cranberries’ cover track) and “Hear Me Now” both reaching #1. But “Zombie” really took off and hit #1 on the Billboard Rock charts, Spotify's viral charts, and iTunes overall songs chart. The song also was nominated for Rock Song Of The Year in the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards, and can still be heard on alt/rock radio stations' regular rotation; “Hear Me Now” was also included in Billboard’s 2018 Year-End Hot Rock Songs Chart.
So it is very obvious that the band has garnered some notarity early on and they're building off of that with new material off of their forthcoming sophmore album. "I'll Be There" is the first single released from the new album:
Bad Wolves is known to deliver incredibly energetic sets that get their crowds pumped up. Vocalist Tommy Vext’s talent shines through in his live performances, backed by his supergroup band to deliver a show like no other. Currently, you can see this energetic and memorable show while they're on tour with Papa Roach and Asking Alexandria.
We were able to catch the band's set this week in Raleigh NC!
