PHOTOS: Paramore in Raleigh NC on the After Laughter: Tour 5
Paramore is currently just a few shows into their fifth tour, in support of their most recent album After Laughter. It is crazy to think that it has already been more than a year since this album was released. But one year is just a small part of the rocky but successful history. It’s been a long 14 years for this Franklin TN emo, gone mainstream, band.
Whether you were a fan of their emo-rock years during the albums All We Know Is Falling and Riot!, or you jumped on the train during their more mainstream break out albums Brand New Eyes and Paramore; you never stop liking Paramore. Their live performances are filled with insane non-stop energy from the most influential female lead vocalist of this generation, Hayley Williams. High kicks, jumping, and dancing for almost the full 2 hour-ish set; Williams engages with the crowd and in the music as if she were still a 15 year-old girl playing tiny club shows.
Last night, Paramore brought the After Laughter: Tour 5 through the Red Hat Amphitheater in downtown Raleigh NC and put on a night the thousands of fans in attendance will never forget. They played new hits “Rose Colored Boy”, “Fake Happy”, and “Hard Times”; but they also played some old favorites like “That's What You Get” and “Misery Business”, with some help singing the latter with a fan picked from the crowd. They also threw in a couple really cool cover songs. Paramore performed their cover of “Passionfruit” by Drake and also added a song by HalfNoise, the side project from their drummer Zac Farro.

The fifth full-length studio album debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies in the first week.
