Leon Bridges in Raleigh for the Good Things Tour

Leon Bridges officially kicked off his Good Things World Tour this week in Raleigh NC. The nearly sold-out show was one to be remembered. It was an unbearably hot night at Red Hat Amphitheater, but no one seemed to mind thanks to the Grammy Award Winner's satisfying and incredibly entertaining set. Stylishly dressed in a retro pink suit, with a floral block print jacket, Bridges looked as good as he sounds. His aesthetic, both unique and thoughtful, like a mashup of the great entertainers of yesteryear's past with a modern punch.

Bridges began his 21-song set with "If It Feels Good (Then It Must Be)" and went on to perform fan favorites like " Better Man", "Smooth Salin'" and "River" from his 2015 album "Coming Home."

Closing out the concert with a bang, Leon Bridges performed “River” and “Mississippi Kisses.” Pulling out his guitar for his most popular song, Leon Bridges definitely made fans out of the passerbys of the downtown amphitheater venue that might not have been before with his stripped down but strong “River.” It felt even more powerful than the raw recording on the album. Finishing out the concert, he performed “Mississippi Kisses" bringing everyone back to their feet and made sure everyone, from front to back, was dancing and giving it their all.

The incredible passion and talent is evident through the music and style of Leon Bridges. Any fan of good downright good music would enjoy this show and I would definitely recommend catching one of the many remaining dates of this tour, if the closes date has not already sold out.
