PHOTOS: Scotty McCreery performs to a sold out Raleigh crowd
Last night at The Ritz, in Raleigh NC, Scotty McCreery was welcomed home to a SOLD OUT crowd during the 2019 portion of his Seasons Change Tour. You may recognize the Raleigh area native as the 2011 American Idol winner, but since the reality TV competition he has gone on to win numerous country music awards and has released three full length albums and a Christmas album.
Most recently, his album Seasons Change (2018) reached #1 on the Top Country Billboard charts and #7 in the top 200 Billboard charts. His current tour, the Seasons Change Tour began in 2018 and has now started again for a second half run to kick off 2019; the tour also features performances from Jimmie Allen and Heather Morgan.

The hometown show was of course a huge sold out success, and McCreery performed a mix of songs that everyone knew all the words to. As McCreery walk from one end of the stage to the other, he would be greeted with screams and cheering that replaced the crowd's singing. During select songs, he even pulled out his own guitar to really show of his musicianship.
While his time on American Idol has allowed him to become this country music star, headlining his own tours and even opening up for legends like Rascall Flats and Garth Brooks, in 2018 he had another life changing event when he married his longtime girlfriend. McCreery has said that one of the biggest influences for the new album Seasons Change was very much his new wife and their relationship. The newlyweds even showed off the newest addition to their family, Moose McCreery, an adorable puppy that Scotty held up high in front of the crowd like Simba in The Lion King.
