The Japanese House in Carrboro NC at Cat's Cradle

The Japanese House came through Carrboro this week, her third appearance at the Cats Cradle in support of her new album Good at Falling. Her previous dates she headlined the back room, but this time she moved to the main ballroom for her performance.

Amber played singles off both her new album and her old singles, including "Saw You in A Dream," "Lilo", "You Seemed So Happy," and "Clean."

Even though the crowd was smaller than usual, it created an intimate atmosphere for Amber to get personal with her fans, including grabbing cell phones and taking videos while she was performing. On several occasions she held the mic out to the audience and allowed them to sing to her.

Her soft and poignant songs created a soothing environment for super fans who held spots in the front row and new listeners who bobbed along to the melodies.

I can't wait for The Japanese House to come back around and watch as her fan base grows even larger.
