Rainy Nights in Raleigh NC With Lake Street Dive
Despite the chance of thunderstorms and a couple rain showers throughout the night, the Red Hat Amphitheater was a full of joyful and excited music lovers on Friday night for the extremely diverse and talented group, Lake Street Dive. The funky/indie/alternative five-piece is Rachael Price (lead vocals), Mike Olson (guitar, vocals), Bridget Kearney (standup bass, vocals), Mike Calabrese (drums, vocals), and Akie Bermiss (keyboards, vocals).

This wasn't the first time that Lake Street Dive has been to the Raleigh area, in fact, they've been here quite a few times; however, this was the biggest show that they've headlined, and the downtown Raleigh venue was absolutely rocking for them. Looking out at the crowd, during their set, everyone was either entranced while watching the performance on stage or absolutely feeling the music with their hands held high while they danced and singed along to every song; what a way to kick off a summer tour!
Each member of the band stayed pretty stationary throughout the set, taking up their own space on the large stage, then about halfway through their set they all joined together front and center for a very intimate and 'unplugged' performance of a few songs.
