The Dangerous Summer Celebrate Album Release In Raleigh

The Dangerous Summer is currently on the road with Have Mercy and Modern Chemistry on The Mother Nature Tour, in support of their new album Mother Nature. And it just so happens that their stop in Raleigh on Friday, at Imurj, was the release day of their new album. The show was extremely intimate with a floor level stage and a crowd packed into the basement venue known as an 'artists cafe'.

The new album Mother Nature is The Dangerous Summer's second album post-hiatus and this album feels much more sat-on and thought out than the previous self-titled release. The self-titled album felt like a rushed combination of songs, just to get something out sooner rather than later after announcing the band's return. Mother Nature is not game changing or barrier breaking in any way, but the album is the return back to the emo-alternative powerhouse that the band once was.

When you think of Mother Nature you think of beauty and power; a finely crafted and thought out creation of pieces. The Dangerous Summer's Mother Nature is just that and it is oh so deserving of the title.

With a whole album of new songs, The Dangerous Summer has so many great tracks to perform live and on this tour, they are packing their setlist with "oldies but goodies", as AJ Perdomo (lead vocals/bass) put it, as well as new songs off their more recent albums.

1. Bring Me Back To Life
2. Where I Want to Be
3. Catholic Girls
4. Ghosts
5. Luna
6. This Is Life
7. Where Were You When the Sky Opened Up
8. Starting Over / Slow Down
9. Color
10. Northern Lights
11. The Permanent Rain
12. Never Feel Alone

Encore:

13. Way Down
14. Infinite

For the final song of their set, AJ handed off his bass and stepped out into the crowd. He asked everyone to pull out their phones and turn on the flash which illuminated the center of the floor where he stood and sang the entirety of the song amongst the crowd.
