Last night, Raleigh was treated to a evening full of amazing 90's / 2000's rock and roll from Weezer and Pixies. The two are currently out on a summer co-headliner tour and along with them was the electro-pop duo Sleigh Bells.
While Weezer has sustained a continued popularity over the years from their classic hits like "Beverly Hills", "Say It Aint So", and "Buddy Holly"; they have seen somewhat of a revival after they were peer-pressured into covering Toto's "Africa". The song is now being played all over the radio. What appeared to be a nearly sold out show went off without a hitch, even with the slight chance of rain. Both bands played nearly two hour long sets with a mix of classics and new music, so for any fan of either of these bands and any of their albums, this show is well worth the price of admission!
Take a look at all the photos including the Happy Days themed stage set for Weezer.
The tour makes another North Carolina stop tonight, in Charlotte at the PNC Music Pavilion. If you haven't made it to this tour yet, be sure to get your tickets to any of the remaining tour dates.
