Looking Ahead: SOLD OUT Pray For The Wicked Tour In Raleigh Saturday July 28

Panic! At The Disco is currently on a tear through North America on the Pray For The Wicked Tour in direct support for the recently released album, under the same name. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 charts and has received primarily positive reviews.

Pray For The Wicked is the 6th studio album from Brendon Urie and Panic! At The Disco, and is the follow up to the 2016 release Death of a Bachelor.

While Urie and Panic! found early success through their classic emo anthems like “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” and “Lying Is The Most Fun...”, they seemed to hit their peak as a band through the early 2010’s. There were many member changes and uncertainty with some forgettable releases. But over the years Urie continued to be the constant and really garnered a lot of attention through his unique vocal range and infectious personality.

In 2016, as the last remaining member of the band, he released his first #1 album, Death of a Bachelor. This album skyrocketed Urie even more into the spotlight and Panic! At The Disco was once again a household name, but in a different way. Those original fans that sang “Nine In The Afternoon” with their friends while Panic! And Fall Out Boy posters hung on their bedroom walls were still huge fans, but now the mainstream music listeners were exposed to the music. And man, did they fall in love.

Now with the second #1 album on record, Urie and Panic! At The Disco are selling out arenas. Yeah, you read that right. The small emo band that you saw back in 2008 opening up for some other band has blossomed into an arena filler.

One of those sold out shows is next Saturday’s concert at PNC Arena in Raleigh NC. Fresh off the release of the new album, those new hits can be expected as well as all of the old favorites. I for one am hoping to hear the cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

From videos and pictures from the few past dates of this tour and knowing what a Panic! concert is like, this is sure to be a Saturday to remember and we will all surely be saying amen because it's Saturday night.

If you weren't one of the lucky 20,000 fans to get a ticket to this show, you do have another chance in January 2019 when Panic! At The Disco comes through Greensboro NC on another run of the Pray For The Wicked Tour.
