Franz Ferdinand in Raleigh NC at The Ritz
The Scottish indie-rock band, Franz Ferdinand, brought their current US Summer tour to The Ritz in Raleigh NC this past weekend and did not disappoint at all. There were no openers or supporting acts on this night, so it was all Franz, front and center. The fans that were present were more than ecstatic for this band to not only be back in Raleigh, but to also finally have new music! Being one of Scotland's most notable indie-rock acts, if not the most notable, and this tour was in direct support of their first release in 5 years.
Always Ascending is Franz Ferdinand’s first album since 2013’s Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action. The group still have a handful of dates left on this tour which you can check out here. Including a stop at Chicago's Lollapalooza festival on Thursday, August 2nd, and the Osheaga Festival in Montreal on August 5th.
