ALBUM REVIEW: Ariana Grande drops "thank u, next"

Are you sick of hearing her name? Well, let’s get this over with one last time.

Ariana Grande has been teasing her thank u, next album for what seems like months—and the world finally has it. All 41 minutes of un-capitalized titles and low-key jabs at exes, the fourth album was born into the world.

All three of her billboard chart singles are featured on the LP (thank u, next, 7 Rings and imagine), along with some new bangers to listen to while doing whatever you damn well please.

Grande, on the cusp of her upcoming Sweetener World Tour, really has been taking the world by storm. With the drop of her album, thank u, next, her social media following and with her being the center of pop culture news daily—she’s on the top of her game. It seemed like if you were not following Ariana Grande closely, you could have missed this album drop, but you didn't--we know you didn't.

She has everything from pop classics to slow R & B jams, there really is something for everyone here. Hear me out—listen to the album from front to back, then come back and really complain about hearing her everywhere.

She’s popular for a reason. She just won a Grammy for a reason.

Personally, I like how she has come out of her super bubble gum pop roots and has made a name for herself in the broader music world. Don’t sit there and tell me imagine isn’t smooth as hell while making bank on the radio--Grande's smart af.

thank u, next gets the ball rolling for new music in 2019. Really, you have to think--nobody has dropped an album who is on Grande's level yet. On that note, I feel like if I rate thank u, next it's going to be biased--so you know I'm still going to rate it.

I give Ariana Grande's fourth album a solid 4/5 stars. Taking into consideration how the Top 40 charts are going to eat this entire LP up and how much twitter stans are already gassing the album, I think this is a solid score.
