Tiny Moving Parts in Carrboro NC
What a great trio with the Oso Oso, Mom Jeans, and Tiny Moving Parts tour. These "emo revivalist" as they are known bring a raw and electric energy to the stage that awakens your inner angsty teenager. And unlike most shows that we've been attending this crowd was kind, courteous, and always looking after their fellow man - on several occasions audience members returned lost items and held entertaining conversations with the band members on stage.

This was our first time in Cat's Cradle's Back Room and it did not disappoint. We loved being able to get right on top of the bands while also having the choice of sitting up in the balcony. These multiple vantage points make this quaint venue a personal affair with the music.
But let's talk music shall we.
Tiny Moving Part's newest record "Swell" has been making it's way around the "Must Listen To" Record lists. And we couldn't agree more, combining their meloncollie lyrics with upbeat hooks and rhythmic bass lines these songs will get stuck in your head, make you dance, and remind you it could always be a little worse. Our favorites - "Applause," "Caution," and "Wildfire.

The on stage performance was full of wild crowd interaction, the best drum solos from Bill, and the incorporation of horns thanks to Mom Jeans - this tour is not to be missed.
(However if you do miss it don't worry they will be back this summer as they just announced a follow up tour with The Wonder Years and Tigers Jaw which will be stopping in Greensboro in May)
Honestly we couldn't think of a better way to spend our Tuesday.
