Sorority Noise in Raleigh NC

In March of this year, Sorority Noise announced that the band would be taking a leave of absence following the end of the current tour with Remo Drive and Jelani Sei. With this news there was a certain unspoken pressure on the group to put on the best live show possible, knowing that it would be their last run for the foreseeable future.

Ending the show with the words “We might not see you for a while, but take care of yourself until then.” , Sorority Noise singer / frontman Cameron Boucher made sure to make their final tour before expected hiatus one to remember. With blistering vocals and guitar shredding making their way to the front of the setlist, the band made sure to include some of their slower, more emotional songs, covering a wide variety of the bands discography.

Remo Drive is an example of the polar opposite. A small band of three, now two members, are just getting the ball rolling and have a long road ahead of them. Flying onto the scene with their critically acclaimed freshman album “Greatest Hits” , followed by their most recent “Pop Music” EP, the band is an upcoming force to be reckoned with.

Their live performance was loud and bombastic in the best way, with no stage gimmicks or fancy lighting setups to steal the spotlight from what's most important: the music. Their songs, which puts a spin on the tried and true pop-punk genre, were played cleanly and almost effortlessly. Even in the midst of a broken bass string, which player Stephen Paulson claimed to only ever have happen to him twice on stage in his playing career, was pulled off flawlessly with the help of a borrowed bass guitar from headliner Sorority Noise. With some help of their touring members, the duo pulled off a live show to be remembered, with a promise to be back for another live tour “Mid-summer”.
