Stacked Like Pancakes Complete ALL or NOTHING Kickstarter Campaign For New Album
Grab the champagne and those little confetti cannon party favors, because congratulations are in order! Stacked Like Pancakes have officially reached and completed their ALL OR NOTHING Kickstarter goal of $100,000 for their new album Strange Creatures! The "brass rock" band from Baltimore took the chance of crowd-funding their third studio full-length through Kickstarter, instead of one of the other crowd-funding outlets where you get to keep whatever you raise. The all or nothing nature of Kickstarter proves how dedicated and trusting this group is of their "Pancake Nation."

This past Thursday we had the honor of joining the band for a very intimate show in downtown Raleigh NC. I can only imagine the emotions going through the band as they were nearing the end of their Kickstarter campaign and not yet reaching the goal. Although they're not yet selling out their own shows and they're still testing the waters in cities they may not have toured through before, this band is on the brink of a breakout. Stacked Like Pancakes has a sound that you can picture perfectly fitting into a regular rotation on the local alt-rock radio station. With a now complete and funded Kickstarter campaign for their next album, there are high hopes for Stacked Like Pancakes. |
The band will now go into the studio and record the album in May with a tentative release of the album in September. And if you ever get the opportunity to catch one of their shows, do yourself the favor and just go.
